Biography

Originally from South Africa, Hazel graduated in Fine Arts (Hons) at Natal University , and taught at the National School of the Arts , Johannesburg . Hazel  also  graduated with a BA  Technical and Production Arts from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama  in 2007. While there she designed The Caucasian Chalk Circle, directed by Mark Saunders , and the Jack Bruce Wall for the RSAMD Cafe Bar. Hazel  was a Scenic Art Tutor for  2008.

Hazel’s set  models for
The Drawer Boy  and Caucasian Chalk Circle were  selected for The World Stage Design Exhibition in Seoul, Korea, 2009 . Her Design for The Selfish Giant, in collaboration with 3 students from the RSAMD enabled the students to participate in the Showcase competition in Seoul, Korea.
